I didn't think I would like this record but it's so infectious in its ability to change from prog to post rock then to psychedelic and onwards into alternative metal. Such an amazing feat to introduce the saxophone and it sounds so cool, this record is outstanding.

Of the two albums I own of Matt, this is my favourite. Song structures are interesting and Matt employs a variety of guitar-playing techniques to good effect. Expressive stuff, & good background music. If I have any quibbles at all, it’s that I find the drumming a bit annoying, at times. Thanks, Matt! 7.5/10.

At first blush, this is a far cry from The Fierce and the Dead, but a moment longer reflects closer proximity. This guy has an ear toward unconventionality, sensibility enough to follow the sound, and the musical skills and scruples to do it all justice.
